Is it a sign?

An endless trail of leafless trees
showing to all and sundry,
a number of bird's nest,
they held close to their chest,
and hid so well during the good times..


Is it a sign that in adverse situations
things which blended and were ignored
come to the fore,
like an eye-sore,
to be picked and pointed at?
