Typhoon No. 8

Heard about it a number of times
Read and warned about it..
A simple phenomenon
called Typhoon No. 8.
And.. on last Thursday..
It was Typhoon No. 8 in HK..
A natural calamity hovering
right over our heads
The winds were howling
The seas were growling
but strangely...
Most of us were happy
to have an unexpected holiday
To loll around in bed
for just a few more hours
and become a couch potato
